Hawthorne Heights presents: 20 Years of Tears
with special guests Thursday, Anberlin, Armor for Sleep, Emery, and This Wild Life
Event Details
The 20 Years Of Tears tour, a once-in-a-lifetime 56-date, U.S. trek featuring varying line-ups surrounding core co-headliners Hawthorne Heights and Thursday, will make it’s way to The St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Thursday, August 8.
JT Woodruff, Hawthorne Heights vocalist and the architect behind the tour, as well as the co-founder of the ongoing Is For Lovers Festival, explains the inspiration for this not-to-be-missed touring event, which sees his band playing their debut album, The Silence in Black and White, in its entirety: “20 Years of Tears is a celebration of the genre that raised an entire generation, with basement-born bands to stadium headliners. Emo comes in all shapes and sizes and has touched the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life. With some of the biggest names of the MySpace Generation, this lineup is designed to give you the energy you had while feeling so misunderstood, as a ‘misguided’ youth. This is not just a summer concert, it is a must-see event that can reignite the fire inside all of us as we sing and scream together like it's 2004.”

Investing In Kids (INK!)
In partnership with St. Johns County Education Foundation Inc., operating as Investing in Kids (INK!), The St. Augustine Amphitheatre has become an official drop-off site for the annual Tools 4 Schools countywide school supply drive for the month of August. Throughout the month, we encourage concertgoers to bring a variety of essential school supplies to the Amphitheatre’s designated Tools 4 Schools bin, located outside the Box Office on show days.
In addition to being an official drop off site during August concert events, The St. Augustine Amphitheatre will host a Stuff the Bus collection drive during The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The community is invited to “stuff” new school supply donations onto a school bus that will be parked at the Amphitheatre. Volunteers will also be onsite to help collect and unload donated supplies. Donations will support over 52,000 public school students and teachers at schools across St. Johns County.
