Jungle Rhythms and Creative Beats: The Friends of the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre Summer Art & Music Camp Recap!

On June 28th, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre was buzzing with excitement as 57 rising 1st through 6th graders took the stage. These talented young performers captivated their parents and friends, showcasing their newfound skills and creativity they learned during their week at The Friends of the Saint Augustine Amphitheatre (FOSAA) Summer Art & Music Camp. 

This year's camp theme, Jungle, inspired a variety of engaging classes. Campers explored the wild through art and puppetry, and they made music with ukuleles, guitars, recorders, and percussion instruments. The energy didn’t stop there – the kids also got their groove on with Zumba and Square Dancing classes!  The camp spanned five days, each filled with fun lessons and free-spirited creativity.

Thanks to the dedicated group of teachers and volunteers, these local students not only learned new skills but also created lasting memories with their friends. Each child was provided with lunch and a T-shirt, and they were thrilled to take home their musical instruments as keepsakes of their jungle adventure.
